Who We Are
Erkab Transit and Consultancy Service P.L.C, was established by two women entrepreneurs who work in freight forwarding and customs clearing services in Ethiopia.The company is a partner in the development of the country’s territory sector. Our company, ERKAB, has a combined management team with 15 years’ experience in the freight forwarding import-Export Business. It is a wholly operated Women-owned Business, led by the managing director Mrs. Emebet Tafesse. Mrs. Tafesse has a rich and highly developed experience in managing different private and government enterprises.
Mrs. Tafesse has also worked in different sectors, giving advice and direction, such as the Ethiopian Tanner’s Association where she was an executive board member and vice president of Ethiopian Women exporters’ association(EWEA). The Ethiopian coffee Exporters Association is one of the biggest and oldest trade associations in the country. Currently, Mrs. Tafesse is the president of Ethiopian Women in Coffee (EWIC), leading the women who accomplish the majority of the work in Ethiopian coffee sector.
The Import-Export department manager, Mrs.Tesehaynesh Bekele, has extensive experience in Import-Export management. She has held several high-level positions for numerous government and private organizations, including transit operations.
Freight & Logistic Manager Mr. Yoptahe Alemayehu is a qualified person in the field and has deep IT knowledge and marketing skill. He holds BSC in computer science, MBA in Marketing and Business Management and also holds FIATA International Diploma. Other staffs also have different types of skills in assessing custom documents, clearing the goods and arrange transport fleet.
